Line Cook

The line cook is capable of executing all salad, sandwich, grill, char grill, sauté, and frying station items.  Meeting presentation and timing standards, assists others in the kitchen, interacts well with guests/ customers, and maintains a clean and well stocked and organized area.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Able to cook meats and seafood to desired temperatures
  • Previous experience with grilling, salad, and sandwich preparations
  • Prepares grill, char grill, salad, steak, fish and pizza entrée items to the recipe or special orders
  • Able to accurately read and communicate orders
  • Well organized, shows a sense of urgency, able to track multiple orders and multi task
  • Maintain up to date recipes, procedures, and plating for all menus, specials, and promotional items
  • Meet timing standards.
  • Coordinates orders with team members and assists co-workers as needed.
  • Works cooperatively with the front of house staff to respond to customer needs.
  • Ensures that areas of responsibilities are well stocked, guest-ready.
  • Comply with high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food safety throughout the shift.
  • Manage stock taking, cleaning, opening, and closing tasks and other duties designated by the management team or kitchen.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be available to work throughout scheduled shift.
  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours of length.


Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand and/or walk for up to the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional during rush times in a fast-paced environment.
