Essential Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:

  • Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences, ensuring each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail for our guests.  
  • Ability to prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes, including complex and specialty items, meeting quality and presentation standards.
  • Experience in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, including Cook 2 and Cook 3 positions. Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and assist in their training and development.
  • Effective communication skills for seamless coordination with fellow kitchen staff, expeditors, and management, ensuring smooth service.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic kitchen environment, adept at adapting to changing orders and service demands for outstanding dining experiences.
  • Previous experience in culinary/ food service is preferred.  
  • Proficient in English, with additional proficiency in Spanish considered a valuable asset.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Non-slip shoes are mandatory for a safe working environment (please note that company does not provide).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.

Proficiency Standards:

  • Endurance for Kitchen Service: Ability to stand for extended periods, maintaining stamina during busy service hours in the kitchen.
  • Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Capable of lifting and/or pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Tolerance to Environmental Conditions: Your ability to withstand heat, steam, and cold in a fast-paced kitchen environment ensures consistent and high-quality cooking results.
  • Vision: Peripheral vision and near and far visual acuity are essential.
  • Clear Communication: Effective communication within the kitchen team is essential for seamless coordination during food preparation and service.
