Essential Qualifications:

  • Manage product ordering, stocking, processing, and merchandising in alignment with produce best practices and department standards.

  • Implement effective inventory management techniques to optimize product availability and minimize waste.

  • Ensure all produce products meet stringent quality standards to uphold customer satisfaction.

  • Prioritize daily tasks based on business needs and goals.

  • Maintain accurate sales and inventory records to facilitate efficient operations.

  • Drive sales growth to meet and exceed established sales targets.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for both customers and staff.

  • Create visually appealing merchandise displays to attract and engage customers.

  • Schedule routine inspections and maintenance for all equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Cultivate a broad knowledge base of produce products to better assist customers and enhance sales opportunities.

  • Utilize expertise in holiday and seasonal merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales.

  • Coordinate pricing strategies to optimize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

  • Provide comprehensive staff training and development to enhance team performance and product knowledge.

  • Must be 21 years old.

  • Proficient in English, with additional proficiency in Spanish considered a valuable asset.

  • Non-slip shoes are mandatory for a safe working environment (please note that company does not provide).

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Reliable transportation is a must.

Proficiency Standards:

  • Physical Endurance: Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Strength and Agility: Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

  • Adaptability to Environmental Conditions: Comfortable working in various temperatures and tolerating moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents.

  • Allergen Management: Able to handle a wide variety of fresh produce without experiencing adverse allergic reactions.

  • Flexibility and Mobility: Proficient in bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and moving around as required.

  • Utilization of Equipment: Skilled in using step-stools or ladders safely and effectively.

  • Physical Stability: Capable of maintaining balance and stability while performing tasks.

  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient in both gross and fine manipulation to handle produce efficiently.

  • Reach: Able to reach below or at the waist and overhead comfortably.

  • Clear Communication: Effective verbal communication skills to convey instructions clearly and accurately, especially in busy environments.

  • Visual Acuity: Essential peripheral vision and near and far visual acuity for inspecting and handling produce.

  • Auditory Perception: Ability to hear and respond to inquiries and instructions effectively in a noisy environment.
